Executive Coaching and Leadership Development

In 2014, I had the opportunity to attend an executive coaching training organized by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) – the diplomatic service of the United Kingdom. At that point, I had already been managing teams for over a decade, but I recognized that this area of expertise would provide me with additional tools for managing relationships at all levels – whether with the Ambassador, colleagues in the Press Office in London, or fellow communicators in other British diplomatic missions.

My Approach to Coaching

Coaching is a catalyst for lasting change. I see it as a confidential, goal-oriented conversation between coach and client – one that fosters clarity, intention, and progress. My role is to support clients on their journey of self-discovery, helping them build awareness, tap into their internal resources, and uncover potential blind spots.

The effectiveness of coaching depends on mutual trust, open dialogue, and the client’s commitment to self-development.

Every coaching relationship is a two-way learning experience – an opportunity for both client and coach to grow.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching clients from all walks of life, from British nationals in the FCO to local staff members. I also offered pro bono coaching services to young Romanian professionals, resulting in valuable learning experiences – many of which benefited me personally.

Looking ahead, I plan to dedicate more of my professional time to coaching senior management, supporting them in handling crises, managing work-life balance, and navigating unforeseen professional challenges.
